Building Recruitment Pipelines. Creating Global Partnerships.

Athena GESDA’s International Education Roadshows take universities directly into carefully selected schools and universities across high-growth international education markets.

Designed to bring Recruitment and Academic Partnerships together in one international visit, each roadshow enables universities to recruit across multiple levels of study while developing institutional relationships for longer-term collaboration.

We work with IB, Cambridge, international and high-performing national-curriculum schools, alongside established public and private universities with strong academic provision and internationally oriented student cohorts.

Participating institutions can recruit to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, short courses, summer schools, executive and professional education, study abroad and exchange programmes, pathways and other institutional offerings.

Rather than relying on general exhibition footfall, the roadshows combine targeted student engagement, qualified lead generation, market development and institutional partnership building within one coordinated programme.

One Roadshow.
Multiple Outcomes.

Recruitment across multiple levels

Recruit prospective undergraduate students within selected schools and postgraduate students within universities, while promoting short courses, summer schools, executive and professional education, study abroad, exchange, pathways and other relevant provision.

Channel diversification through direct recruitment

Build a commission-free direct recruitment pipeline to complement existing agent channels, generating qualified student leads at source for direct follow-up, application nurturing and conversion.

Quality, not quantity

Engage carefully selected student cohorts aligned with your academic profile, subject priorities and recruitment objectives, rather than relying on general exhibition footfall.

Market diversification

Access selected schools and universities across metropolitan and Tier 2 locations, helping diversify recruitment geographically and build presence across established and emerging markets.

Tailored to your institution

Ahead of participation, we work with your team to understand priority subjects, levels of study, target student profiles, institutional offerings and partnership ambitions. These priorities inform the schools, universities, student cohorts and institutional meetings built into the programme.

Recruitment + Academic Partnerships

Address two major internationalisation priorities through the same programme. Alongside student recruitment, university visits create opportunities to explore TNE, articulation and progression agreements, pathway development, student and staff mobility, study abroad and exchange, research collaboration, faculty engagement and wider strategic partnerships.

Professional Representation

Unable to attend in person? Athena GESDA can represent your institution throughout the roadshow through our experienced international education professionals.

One international visit.
Multiple levels of recruitment.
Multiple institutional objectives.

Greater value from every international visit

Recruitment, partnership development and market engagement are often undertaken through separate activities, teams and international visits. Our roadshows bring them together.

By integrating school and university engagement within one coordinated programme, institutions can advance student recruitment, direct lead generation, counsellor relationships and academic partnership development simultaneously, creating greater efficiency in time, travel and institutional resource.

How the Roadshows work

Each roadshow runs for approximately 10 days, typically visiting 18–20 carefully selected schools and universities across a combination of established metropolitan and high-potential Tier 2 markets.

Schools

School visits provide direct access to relevant student cohorts for undergraduate recruitment, while also creating opportunities to promote summer schools, short courses, pre-university programmes and enrichment opportunities. Universities can also build longer-term relationships with school counsellors and leadership teams who influence students’ international study decisions.

Universities

University visits provide access to relevant undergraduate and final-year cohorts for postgraduate recruitment and other programme opportunities. They also create direct engagement with academic leaders, international teams and institutional decision-makers to explore TNE, progression and articulation agreements, mobility, research and wider academic partnerships.

What makes our Roadshow different?

Targeted engagement, not general footfall

Pre-Vetted students:

Students are pre-vetted before participating, creating more relevant, profile-aligned audiences for participating universities.

Prepared before you arrive:

Host institutions are supported through Athena GESDA’s Internationalisation at Home programme, building knowledge and readiness ahead of the roadshow, namely:

  • Students & Parents are informed: The Global Futures Masterclasses help students and parents understand international study options, destinations, pathways and key decision-making factors before meeting universities.
  • Counsellors are equipped Educator Enrichment Programme strengthen counsellor and adviser knowledge, enabling them to provide informed guidance before, during and after the roadshow.

The Roadshow becomes the decision-making moment:

Rather than a first introduction to international education, the roadshow provides a high-value, in-person opportunity for informed students to explore options, ask final questions and progress their decisions.

Schools + Universities in one programme:

Universities engage prospective UG and PG students, counsellors and institutional leaders — combining recruitment, relationship-building and academic partnership opportunities.

Prepared students. Informed parents. Equipped counsellors. Meaningful university conversations.
